Valley View is a 17 bed residential care home caring for over 65's, elderly, dementia and infirm that is managed by Debbie King and a team of dedicated care staff.

All rooms are single, bright and airy. Valley View has a communal lounge and dinning room, which offers suburb views over the valley.  Both are southerly facing so they are always bright and light. Large garden to the rear of the bungalow with seating for clients. Clients who have an interest in gardening are able to do so if they wish. There is a raised bed available for this and an assortment of pots and tubs.

Daily activities are organised by Marie. These include jewellery making, cards, dominoes, various board games, and music, keep fit and exercise classes. Outings are organised by the home and include lunches and theatre trips. Visiting local library services that change books on a regular basis. They will often order books if requested.

A varied diet is offered by Linda and Donna who will cater according to special dietary needs and any other special requests.

The home has recently replaced and modernised two of its bathrooms and its “wet” room.

The home clients have a dedicated team of carers, all of which hold certificates of competence in all aspects of care including NVQs and End of Life. Regular training is given annually to ensure competence and to ensure high standards of care are always maintained.

The home provides all medical needs and is supported by a local Doctors practice who will visit clients in their home. Valley View works very closely with the District Nursing team, chiropody, dentist, optician, physiotherapists, hearing, dietician and any other professionals that are needed.
