A large 20 bed Victorian House, registered to provide residential care for the over 65’s.
All of our bedrooms have great views with all having ensuite facilities, they are light and comfortable, well furnished all with views overlooking the gardens or St Marychurch, Torquay.
The popular pedestrian shopping precinct at St.Marychurch including a Post Office, Banks, Medical Centre, Optician and the beautiful local Churches are all close by, making Didsbury Court the ideal ‘Home from Home’.

About
At Didsbury Court we pride ourselves on how passionate we are about our residents care and are constantly working to improve the lives of residents living with us and their families. Didsbury Court has a wonderful homely feel with excellent furnishings and having undergone recent extensive refurbishment the home is light, airy and welcoming to all.
Professional and Highly Trained Staff
The Home has a highly dedicated team of friendly and professional carers, catering and household staff, all of whom are trained within their specialities. Specialist training is given on End of Life Care, Dementia, First aid and Moving and Handling as well as regular mandatory training provided by a highly qualified trainer and Registered Nurse, ensuring compliance and competence to the highest standards.
The Home is led by Registered Manager Maria Munoz who has a wealth of experience in running care and nursing homes and is a Registered Nurse. She is supported by her Deputy Manager Dan. Maria and her team are further supported by the Area Manager Julian Webb, who is responsible for the operational aspects of the home. Both of which are supported fully by the Director Rebecca Marks who frequently visits the home. Jenny our Clinical Care Lead also supports the home with all things Clinical and Training.
Didsbury Court works very closely with the resident’s families GP’s, District Nursing team, Social Workers, chiropody, dentist, opticians, physiotherapists and all other professionals involved in a residents care.
Quality of Life
Social interaction and entertainment are highly valued at Didsbury Court, and range from lively bingo games to flower arranging, music and singalongs to cake and cookie decorating, quizzes and games to jigsaws puzzles, arts and crafts to outings – there is always something going on. Facetime is also available for everyone alongside visits, so contact with loved ones is always possible.
There are three communal areas including our conservatory at Didsbury Court so plenty of choice for our residents as well as our two courtyard gardens and kitchen patio for some fresh air or a spot of gardening.
Many of our residents are from differing backgrounds therefore a full life history profile is carried out prior to admission which enables us to apply a person centred approach as well as being able to share and enjoy their many experiences of life. We see Didsbury Court as being synonymous to excellent care and support never losing sight that our residents are centre to all that we do.
